Choir Scholarship Applications 2023-2024
Carroll Senior High Choir Booster Club, Inc. ("Choir Boosters") was formed in 1992 as a support to teachers and students in the Carroll Independent School District. Money donated by Sponsors and Members support the Scholarship Program.
DEADLINE: All applications must be RECEIVED no later than March 29, 2024 @ 11:59pm
AWARD DATE: By April 26, 2024.
Scholarship applications will be completed and submitted via Google Forms (see links below).
All Scholarship Applications will be forwarded blindly by the Scholarship Committee Coordinator for review to the Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship Committee consists of a CISD Guidance Counselor and several members of Choir Boosters. Members whose children are applying for a scholarship are not eligible to judge.

Music Major Scholarship
Students are not eligible to receive both the Carroll Choir Music Major Scholarship and the Carroll Choir Non-Music Major Scholarship. You must have participated in at least 3 years of Choir (at CSHS or another High School) to be eligible for the Scholarship.
If you are awarded this scholarship, you must provide the name, address and proof of enrollment of the college you plan to attend. You must also supply your student number, first semester class schedule and the college’s phone number for the Bursar/Finance Department so that we can make sure the scholarship is applied correctly.

Heart of Service Scholarship
The Heart of Service Scholarship was established in 2020, in memory of Sarah Lacy, a vibrant student leader with a desire to foster beauty in the world and to bring people together. The Heart of Service Scholarship seeks to identify a high school senior who exhibits leadership in the areas of volunteerism and community service within the Choral Department of Carroll Senior High School and the community-at-large. The Heart of Service Scholarship will be awarded to a student who exemplifies the above qualities and plans to attend an institution of higher learning.
WHO QUALIFIES TO APPLY?
You must meet the following criteria to apply:
-Be a senior at Carroll Senior High School eligible to graduate in May of the current academic year;
-Will complete 6 semesters of HS Choir in Carroll ISD by graduation;
-Be an active member of the Carroll Choir family;
-Have a proven record of helping others;
-Intend to enroll as a full-time student in an accredited college, vocational or technical school in the summer or fall of the following academic year.

The selection criteria are based upon an essay, 3 letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with the applicant’s community service, and service to either a place of worship, school, retirement home, or food pantry in the community.

NEW! Carroll Choir Summer Enrichment Scholarship
(Students currently in grades 9 through 11 are eligible to apply)
Students attending a Choir Camp over the summer are eligible to apply. Show Choir Camps and All State Camps are eligible for this scholarship. Students must submit camp registration receipt before scholarship is paid.
