Kelly Himes is a vocalist, actor, educator, director and collaborative artist with more than three decades of experience in vocal performance and instruction throughout the Greater North Texas area. Her students have consistently earned success in the TMEA All State Choir process, musical theatre including High School Musical Theatre Awards processes, collegiate music and theatre programs, community and professional productions, competitions, and leadership opportunities. Many are now pursuing careers in performance and education.
Kelly's background includes musical theatre, choral performance, solo artistry, audition coaching and performance mentorship. She also has extensive knowledge and training in vocal therapy and vocal health as a retired medical speech pathologist and singing voice specialist.
Known for her expressive artistry, high standards and relational approach to teaching, Kelly is passionate about helping singers develop confident, healthy and authentic performances. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Bass Hall, and continues to work with students pursuing musical theatre, classical, contemporary and commercial styles.
Kelly is excited to join the Carroll Dragon Choir faculty and looks forward to working with the talented students and families of Carroll ISD.
