Renée Hunt has over twenty years of experience as an accomplished Soprano and educator. She holds a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Miami School of Music and a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the world-renowned Eastman School of Music. She has performed as a soloist in performances of opera, recital, oratorio, and musical theater.
Rooted with a solid foundation of world-class musical training and complemented by years of instruction in a wide genre of performance arts, Renée is uniquely prepared to mentor and guide students as they discover and nurture their talent and potential. Her training inspires her students to craft truly exceptional performances and gives them an edge to reach their highest potential. Renée brings valuable experience from the many years of vocal training she received from some of the most revered teachers in the world. Her students will attest to her infectious positive energy, extraordinary ear for all musical genres and her intuitive ability to communicate the healthiest, most highly effective vocal techniques in the industry. Many of her students have pursued their vocal studies at prestigious music conservatories including: The Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt, University of Miami Frost School of Music, Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, Oberlin College, Carnegie Mellon University, Eastman School of Music, Brigham Young University School of Music, and Palm Beach Atlantic University. She has also trained singers who went on to The Voice and Miss America pageants.
Renée's teaching has been recognized by the Florida Music Educators Association for having the most Outstanding Student Performances at district and state-level competitions and the Florida State Thespians Society for having several students win the coveted Cappie award for Best Student Vocal Performance. A member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), she is often called up on to coach and mentor young, aspiring singers.
