Mrs. Jen Randall

Jen Randall is in her 22nd year as a secondary choral educator. Randall is a graduate of the University of Nebraska where she was a founding member of Big Red Singers, SAI Kappa Chapter President, and a member of University Singers.

From 2005 to 2016, Jen was the associate choral director at Keller Central High School where she created the campus and state’s first competitive show choirs and assisted in building a thriving 6A choral program. Fall of 2015 gave Randall the opportunity to open Eaton High School in Northwest ISD as the Head Choir Director on the campus. In 2016, she relocated to South Dakota to take over Friend de Coup show choir and Head Director duties in Mitchell, one of the top show choir programs in the country.

Summer of 2019 saw a move back to Texas to be near family and to create Show Collective, a professional development and consulting firm focused on show choir and culture climate in the choral classroom. Through her company, she travels the country doing rehearsal clinics with choirs and providing learning opportunities for choral professionals. Randall’s book, The Art of Competitive Show Choir was published by GIA Publications in June of 2020 and her podcast, “Preaching to the Choir” has 5 seasons available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Mrs. Randall directs all varsity ensembles in the 10th - 12th grade portion of the Carroll Choirs feeder pattern.

She and her husband Tim have two proud Carroll Dragons, Ben and Owen, and the four enjoy having family adventures in the Lone Star State and beyond.

​Ms. Rachel Heiser

Ms. Heiser has been with Carroll ISD for 1 year. She is the Assistant Director at Carroll Senior High School where she teaches Dragon Chorus, the beginning mixed choir. She is also the Head Choir Director at both Carroll and Dawson Middle School, where she teaches 7th-8th grade mixed choirs. 

She graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelors in Music Education. During her time there, she was a part of Mu Phi Epsilon, a professional coed music fraternity that focused on giving back to the community through the arts. She also was a member of TCU’s University Singers and Concert Chorale.

In addition to her job in Carroll ISD, she also teaches dance classes at a studio in Dallas. She enjoys being able to create original choreography, as well as teaching cover classes. She uses this as an opportunity to better assist in creating choreography for the Carrollers, our newest Show Choir in Carroll ISD! Furthermore, 
her hobbies include dancing, lifting weights and spending time with friends!
